ALUGADDA CHIKKUDUKAYA KURA / POTATO BROAD BEANS CURRY

serves : 2 adults


INGREDIENTS REQUIRED :-


Potato : 1 big
chikkudu kayalu / broad beans : 10-15
onion :1
green chilly : 1
tomato : 1
salt : 1/2 tspn
chillypowder : 1/2 tspn
turmeric : 1/4 tspn
garam masala : pinch
ginger garlic paste : 1/4 tspn
curry leaves : 1 strig
coriander leaves : 5 strigs
oil : 2 tspns.


PREPARATION :-

  • Peelout the skin of potato and chop them into pieces. Add them to a bowl of water.

  • Wash broad beans and make them into pieces.

  • Chop onion , green chilly and tomato into pieces.

  • Now heat a pan add oil , add green chilly , curry leaves and onion.

  • When onion turns golden colour add ginger garlic paste and mix well.

  • When rawness reduces add potato and broad beans pieces and mix well. put a lid .

  • After 2 mins add 1/4 tspn salt.

  • When they r half done add chopped tomato and mix well.

  • When it becomes mushy add salt , chilly powder , turmeric , garam masala powder and coriander leaves . mix well.

  • Add 1/2 cup-1 cup of water and switchoff stove when potato is perfectly cooked.

  • Serve hot with rice .
