Paneer Butter Masala

This is one of my favourite dishes . This process looks bit long but gives very good taste .

Ingredients required :-

For marination :-

Paneer : 1/4 kg

curd : 1 & 1/2 cup

Turmeric : 1/4 tspn

salt

chilly powder : 1 tspn

kashmiri chilly powder : 1 tspn

coriander powder : 1 & 1/2 tspn

jeera powder : 1/2 tspn

garam masala powder : 1/2 tspn

Ginger garlic paste : 1 & 1/2 tspn

oil : 1 tspn

Ingredients For Preparing Gravy :-

Onions : 3

Tomatoes : 3

Poppy seeds : 1 tbspn

Cashew : 10

Sugar : 1/4 tspn

Cloves : 2

Cardamom : 1

Cinnamon : 1

Bay leaf : 1

Kasuri methi : 1/2 tspn

Chilly Powder : 1/2 tspn

coriander powder : 1 tspn

Jeera powder : 1tspn

Garam masala powder : 1/2 tspn

Turmeric : 1/4 tspn

Coriander leaves : 5 strigs

Preparation :-

  • Take Paneer and cut into cubes .

  • Marinate all the ingredients under the subtitle ' For Marination ' for half an hour .

  • Dry fry poppy seeds and cashews and grind them to a fine powder . Takeout into a plate.

  • Chop onions and grind them in mixcy.

  • Boil water in a vessel . Add tomatoes and let it boil nicely . Cool them . Peel out their skin and grind it in the same mixcy container after grinding onions.

  • After 30 mins of soaking paneer , take 2 pans .

  • In one pan put paneer mixture .

  • In another pan add butter . When it melts add 1/4 tspn sugar (optional) .

  • When sugar turns brown add cinnamon , cloves and cardamom.

  • After a min add grinded onion tomato paste .

  • While the mixture is boiling add salt , jeera powder , chilly powder , turmeric , coriander powder . Mix nicely.

  • Let it boil for some time . Now add kasuri methi (crush it in ur hands while adding).

  • Now add grinded cashew poppy seed powder.

  • I think by this time ur paneer mixture is ready .

  • Take paneer mixture from stove and add it gently to the gravy.

  • Add 1/2 cup of water and mix nicely .

  • When u get ur required consistency add fresh cream / butter and coriander leaves .

  • Switchoff stove and serve hot with rotis / naan / parathas.
