ONION STUFFED RIDGE GUARD










serves : 1 ADULT


INGREDIENTS REQUIRED :-

Ridge guard : 1

oil : 2 tspns

TO GRIND :-

onions : 2 small or 1 big

salt : 1/2 tspn

chilly powder : 1/2 tspn

turmric : pinch

cumin powder : 1/4 tspn

PREPARATION :-

  • First wash ridge guard and peel out the skin of it .

  • Make it into 4 pieces horizontally.

  • On each piece make a " + " cut till half.

  • Chop onions and grind all the ingredients under GRINDING .

  • Now stuff the grinded paste in all pieces.

  • Heat a pan add oil and add stuffed ridge guard pieces , if any paste remains add it now and mix well with care.

  • Take a bowl that fits ur pan and fill it with water and place it on pan .(aviri mutha)

  • Inbetween stir it .

  • Switchoff the stove when ridge guard pieces are perfectly cooked.It takes nearly 15 - 20 mins.

  • Serve hot with rice and a drop of ghee.

    Hi anonymous, yes this is very simple to do . My mother -in -law she used to grind onions in a big hand pestle.It adds more taste to the dish .
