MENTHI MAJJIGA



INGREDIENTS REQUIRED :-

Butter milk / majjiga : 1 glass
onion :1
coriander leaves : 3 strigs
salt : 1 tspn
turmeric : pinch

FOR SEASONING :-

oil :1 tsn
urad dal : 1/2 tspn
dry red chilly : 1
cumin seeds : 1/2 tspn
mustard seeds : 1/4 tspn
fenugreek powder : 1/4 tspn
green chillies : 2
methi leaves : few
curry leaves : 1 strig
turmeric : less than 1/4 tspn

PREPARATION :-

  • Take 1/2 glass curd and 1/2 glass water and make buttermilk .

  • To this buttermilk add salt , turmeric , finely chopped raw onion , coriander leaves. Mix well.

  • Heat a pan and do seasoning by adding all the ingredients under SEASONING one by one in same order.

  • Mix this seasoning to buttermilk and mix well.

  • Tasty menthi majjiga / buttermilk with fenugreek flavour is ready to serve with rice.
