This is one of my favourite dishes . This process looks bit long but gives very good taste .
Ingredients required :-
For marination :-
Paneer : 1/4 kg
curd : 1 & 1/2 cup
Turmeric : 1/4 tspn
salt
chilly powder : 1 tspn
kashmiri chilly powder : 1 tspn
coriander powder : 1 & 1/2 tspn
jeera powder : 1/2 tspn
garam masala powder : 1/2 tspn
Ginger garlic paste : 1 & 1/2 tspn
oil : 1 tspn
Ingredients For Preparing Gravy :-
Onions : 3
Tomatoes : 3
Poppy seeds : 1 tbspn
Cashew : 10
Sugar : 1/4 tspn
Cloves : 2
Cardamom : 1
Cinnamon : 1
Bay leaf : 1
Kasuri methi : 1/2 tspn
Chilly Powder : 1/2 tspn
coriander powder : 1 tspn
Jeera powder : 1tspn
Garam masala powder : 1/2 tspn
Turmeric : 1/4 tspn
Coriander leaves : 5 strigs
Preparation :-
- Take Paneer and cut into cubes .
- Marinate all the ingredients under the subtitle ' For Marination ' for half an hour .
- Dry fry poppy seeds and cashews and grind them to a fine powder . Takeout into a plate.
- Chop onions and grind them in mixcy.
- Boil water in a vessel . Add tomatoes and let it boil nicely . Cool them . Peel out their skin and grind it in the same mixcy container after grinding onions.
- After 30 mins of soaking paneer , take 2 pans .
- In one pan put paneer mixture .
- In another pan add butter . When it melts add 1/4 tspn sugar (optional) .
- When sugar turns brown add cinnamon , cloves and cardamom.
- After a min add grinded onion tomato paste .
- While the mixture is boiling add salt , jeera powder , chilly powder , turmeric , coriander powder . Mix nicely.
- Let it boil for some time . Now add kasuri methi (crush it in ur hands while adding).
- Now add grinded cashew poppy seed powder.
- I think by this time ur paneer mixture is ready .
- Take paneer mixture from stove and add it gently to the gravy.
- Add 1/2 cup of water and mix nicely .
- When u get ur required consistency add fresh cream / butter and coriander leaves .
- Switchoff stove and serve hot with rotis / naan / parathas.
