INGREDIENTS REQUIRED :-
1 tomato
1onion
3-4 cloves garlic
1" piece ginger
4 dry red chillies (deseeded)
1/2 cup curd
6-7 cashews broken
1 tbsp. oil
1/2 tsp. red chilli powder
1/2 tsp. dhania powder
1/4 tsp. turmeric powder
3-4 pinches asafoetida
1/4 tsp. garam masala
3-4 pinches cinnamon-clove powder
small coconut piece
Almonds :2
salt to taste
PREPARATION :-
- Dry fry poppy seeds , cashews and almonds , dry red chillies . grind them in a dry container.
- To this add ginger, garlic pods and coconut and grind nicely.
- To this add chopped onion and grind .
- Now add tomato, and remaining spices. grind nicely.
- To this ground paste add curd and grind again.
- Now heat a kadai / pan add oil and add ground paste and fry till oil separates.
- Tasty onion tomato gravy is ready to serve .
