THALIMPANNAM / SEASONING RICE




INGREDIENTS REQUIRED :

Left over rice : nearly 1/2 glass or 150gms

onions : 2 big

greenchillies : 4

curry leaves : 15

coriander leaves : 10 strigs

oil : 1tbspn

urad dal : 1 tspn

dry red chilly : 2

cumin seeds : 1/2 tspn

mustard seeds : 1/2tspn

bengal gram : 1 tbspn

asafoetida : little

salt : 1 tspn

turmeric : 1 tspn

PREPARATION :

In left over rice mix salt and 1/2tspn turmeric and mix well.

Chop onions and greenchillies.

Heat a pan add oil, urad dal, dry red chilly, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, bengal gram, asafoetida, green chillies and curry leaves.(add one after other)

N ow add chopped onions and fry well.

After onions are fried add pinch of salt and 1/4 tspn turmeric , coriander leaves and mix well.

Now add rice and mix well. After 5 mins Switchoff stove and put a lid on pan.

After 5mins thalimpannam / seasoned rice is ready.

    i think we can add lime juice 2 this dish and it tastes xtremly gud.... try that .... :)
