SOYA NUGGETS MANCHURIAN

Today evening i felt to do something different with soya nuggets . Went into kitchen and mixed all spices that caught my eyes and did this dish. Anyway the final result was yummy & a colourful dish . u can name it as soya - 65 o rsoya manchurian or chilly soya. Its ur choice (since i mixed too many spices).

PREPARATION :-

  • Take 50-60 soya nuggets (meal maker) , wash them nicely.

  • In a big bowl take large amount of water and heat it when it boils fully add cleaned soya nuggets.

  • After 5 mins switchoff the stove and strain them.

  • When they cool squeeze water thoroughly from them and take them into a bowl.

  • In soya nuggets add 1/4tspn salt , pinch of pepper , azinomoto, 1/4tspn cumin powder , 1/4 tspn coriander powder pinch of garam masala ,1/4tspn ginger garlic paste ,1tspn soya sauce , 1/4tspn chilly sauce , 1/2 tspn vinegar , 1 egg white, pinch of red food colour mixed in 1tspn water, 1tbspn cornflour and 2 tbspns maida. Mix all nicely.

  • Marinate the above mixture for 30 mins.

  • Now deep fry this marinated soya nuggets in oil. (be careful they will get fried very quickly).

  • Chop onion , capsicum , spring onions , garlic and ginger.

  • Heat a pan add 2 tbspns oil , Add 5 chopped green chillies , finely chopped 8 garlic pods and finely chopped ginger ,add 3 strigs of curry leaves , when they splutter add 1/4 tspn pepper powder and add 1 big chopped onion , 1 chopped capsicum.

  • When onion is cooked add 1/4 tspn ginger garlic paste , 1/4 tspn salt .

  • next add 1/2 tspn azinomoto , 1 tbspn soya sauce , 1 tbspn tomato ketch up, 1/2 tspn chilli garlic paste , 1/2 tspn vinegar. mix all nicely.

    Hi Preeti,

Your recipe looks so good. But one doubt. Does frying the soy nuggets makes them too oily? If so are there any tips to avoid that? Really appreciate your responce.
